GroupBored is a website in development by Andrew Rodeghero for CS 315 at Truman State University. GroupBored is meant to bridge a gap between typical social media sites, such as Facebook or Twitter, and forum-based websites.
Social media sites are usually used to follow specific people and connect with family and friends in a relatively quick manner, and forum sites are typically used to post some sort of question, news headline, personal story, etc which will slowly receive replies. This goal of this site will be to be able to make similar posts to those you may normally see on a forum site, but for replies to be received in a manner that is typically seen on social media sites. This will ideally allow for quick, discussion-based replies to a quite broad range of possible topics and posts, all while still being able to follow specific users or topics like existing social media sites already offer.
